GENERAL

Q:  Is the OrderSense website my company's website too?
A:   No. You register a URL of your choosing which is redirected to your own login page 

Q: How many customers can I set up on my system?
A: As many as you want; the number of customers is unlimited.

Q: How many branded website design skins can I create?
A: Unlimited with purchase of the branding package. You can set up one branded website design skin without the branding package.

Q: Do I need to call you to set up a new storefront for one of my customers?
A: You do not need to call us; you have complete control over your system and can do that yourself. In just a few clicks you can set up a new account or a new store for your customers. Bringing new customers online quickly is important in today's competitive environment.

Q: How many variable data templates can I setup?
A: Unlimited

Q: How many variable data template jobs can my customers order?
A: Unlimited with purchase of the unlimited plan.  Other plans specify a number of templates; an extra charge is assessed for templates created over the amount specified in your package.

Q: How many files can I upload?
A: Unlimited with purchase of the unlimited plan. Other plans specify a number of jobs; an extra charge is assessed for jobs created over the amount specified in your package.

Q: Will I be able to create my own variable data templates? 
A: Yes

Q: Do I need to be a programmer to create my own variable data templates?
A: No programming is needed. OrderSense uses a simple, GUI based variable data template building system.

 

TECHNOLOGY

Q: I don't have any in-house IT personnel.  Is that a problem?
A: No. OrderSense takes care of the hardware and software located in our server farm.

Q: When my customer places an order for a business card, do I need to have imposition software to impose those cards on a sheet or does OrderSense take care of that?
A: OrderSense has an imposition engine built in—as soon as an order comes in, the system will have ready an imposed version of that job that fits the paper stock assigned to it. When you approve the layout, the high res imposed PDF is sent to your press front end.

Q: What kind of internet connection will my customers need?
A: DSL/T1 is the minimum recommended for jobs that upload to your system. A slower connection is no problem for jobs that require no large data files to be uploaded, such as template or static job orders.

 

ORDERING AND TRACKING

Q: Can my customers pay with a credit card?
A: Yes, and securely with the highest SSL encryption available.

Q: Are PO numbers supported?
A: Yes

Q: My customers use cost centers for their internal billing, can they set that up in their account?
A: Yes

Q: If one of my customers pays with a credit card, does the money go to my bank account?
A: Yes, the money will go to your bank account because the credit card merchant will have your information. OrderSense is not involved in the credit card transaction; we simply facilitate the connection. After payment is made, we transfer the customer back to your storefront.

Q: Can my customer track shipments made via Fedex or UPS in his storefront?
A: Yes, your customer can track shipments of his jobs just by just clicking on the tracking number next to his job.  That automatically links to the tracking info at the Fedex or UPS web sites.

Q: Can my customers access their storefronts from either a PC or Mac?
A: Yes, both PC and Mac browsers are supported (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.)

Q: Do I need to have a login set up for everyone who accesses my storefront?
A: No, you can have a guest access button on your storefront so prospective customers can shop around.  If they decide work with you, they can quickly and easily sign up for an account.

Q: Does OrderSense support languages oher than English?
A: Yes. Our system can be configured for many languages, including Spanish, French, German, etc. Contact support@oredersense.com to inquire about your language.

 

TRAINING

Q: How many employees can I send to a training session?
A:  Four employees. The training charge is based on a single employee attending; a smaller additional fee is assessed for up to three additional students.

Q: Which employees should I train?
A:  Those with good computer skills and a good understanding of pre-press and production management.

Q: For quality control, does each employee have an individual password?
A: Yes. Each system user has a unique ID and password. 

Q: Do you offer any online training, specifically as refresher courses?
A:  Not at this time. However, OrderSense is developing a users forum for the exchange of best practices, troubleshooting tips and more.
